2013 British Championships(Juniors -44) - Sheffield, 14 December 2013

I am very happy to finish this year with two gold medals in both Cadet and Junior National Championships. This is the end of the calendar year but the beginning of the new season, so after two weeks of Christmas break I will be training hard again... aiming for some more good results.

Flanders Judo Cup - 26 October 2013 (-44 and -40) , Lommel, Belgium

I fought in both -40s and -44s because there was only one person in my weight. This allowed me to gain some experience as I fought people who were bigger than me so I had to adapt a different style of fighting. Even though they were heavier, I won the silver medal only losing to the eventual gold medalist.

XV Warsaw Judo Open 2013, 28 September 2013

This was a very well organised tournament with a lot of good European players. I managed to get on the podium with the bronze medal but I was not completely satisfied with my performance. I won against the gold medallist but then lost the fight leading to the final even though I was ahead with a wazari score.

Heart of England Championships,7 September 2013

There were no competitors in my weight category so I fought in -44kg; with a ‘gold’ result I am now looking forward to the GB Championships.

London Open ,13 July 2013

The London open allowed me to fight new people from a higher weight category because there were no competitors in my weight. I didn’t mind fighting a weight group up because I gained some experience. I won all the fights by ippon.

National Team Championships (LONDON) - Walsall, 06 July 2013

I really enjoy the team championships as the atmosphere is welcoming as everyone stays as a team and cheers for each other. Even though the team got a bronze medal, losing to the eventual gold medal winners; I won every fight gaining a full set of points for the team.

Kent International Open 2013 - 29 June 2013

The Kent International was a very good competition for me to attend, not only because it is local but because everyone in my weight was foreign. This was very good because it allowed me to fight new competitors that I haven’t fought before. I won every fight attaining the gold medal.

European Championship Cadets 2013, Tallinn, Estonia, 21 June 2013

I was very proud to be selected to represent Great Britain in the European Championships. Even though I lost my first fight, it was a great experience to go and compete. No medal this time but I will train hard and hopefully get another chance next year!

European Cup Cadets Bielsko-Biała, Poland, 18 May 2013

This was the last European cup of the year. I travelled to this competition with my club as the England squad didn’t go. Again I managed to get into the semi-final after winning my pool. The fight was very close; unfortunately I lost by a shido. I enjoyed my first year competing in Europe and being a part of the England team.

European Cadets Cup in Teplice ,Czech Republic, 20 April 2013

It was great to be able to compete in Europe again with girls from different countries. Every fighter has a different style; this shows you that judo doesn’t have its limits and there is so much to learn. I managed to achieve a bronze medal winning three fights by ippon. This is a good step forward from the last two European cups where I got 5th place.

European Cadets Cup in Kiev, Ukraine - 30 March 2013

This competition and training camp allowed me to train with many good European judokas. As I only have a few people to train with in my category in England this was a good opportunity to learn and experience European judo. The training was very hard and in a very competitive environment. Everyone was trying their best and put a lot of effort in to get the most out of it. I'm sure it will help me develop my judo further. We went as a small group and our coaches were able to watch us and give us feedback on how to improve which was very helpful. I gained some more points getting fifth place.
Even though it was an Easter break, it felt more like winter with lots of snow and plenty of snowball fights.

European Cadets Cup in Zagreb, Croatia - 09 March 2013

This was my first European Cadets Cup and the new rules were in place. I was impressed with the professional organisation of the event and everything ran well and smoothly. The referees were looking for positive and attacking judo so many fights were decided by shidos. Getting a fifth place gave me my first European ranking points but I was slightly disappointed as my bronze medal fight was very close.

2013 British Championships - Sheffield, 13 January 2013

This competition was a very high standard as it is the British Championships, as much as I enjoyed competing I enjoyed watching other competitors fight as everyone was very good. I won all my fights by ippon, this means I attained the gold medal becoming the 2013 British Champion.
